News on TimeKeeper

23.01.2010	An automated update is available, which fixes the following problems: If someone rejects a release without specifying a comment, a "MissingResourceException" is raised. Attending a project which was created with release 3.80 fails, if this project contains releases for accounting reports.
01.01.2010	TimeKeeper 3.8 ist finished. Starting from now it's also available on Linux and Mac OS X. Furthermore the synchronization process with the project database was optimized: Changes on the database structure which may be necessary are executed much faster than before. In addition, the release process was extended with a new function to explicitely refuse the approval of working and travel times.
05.12.2009	TimeKeeper 3.7 is finished. Starting from now it's also available on Windows 7 (64bit). It includes various bug fixes and enhancements in the project calendar, which enable the users not only to share projects presences but also project absences (holidays, vacation, sickness). Furthermore backup and recovery functions for the local database and the project databases were added. In the case that important project roles change, it's now possible to handoff change permissions on existing objects to other project members. The business trip window now also contains filters for the configuration of the trips to be displayed. Moreover it's now possible to display only travel times or travel vouchers instead of the whole trip structure. This makes it much more easier to release travel times. For a user from New Zealand his currency and holiday calendar was added.
01.09.2009	TimeKeeper 3.6 contains a critical bug which will cause data loss if you book travel times and use TimeKeeper in multiple projects. Under this circumstances DO NOT use Release 3.6!
29.08.2009	The used compression format for the ZIP files of Timekeeper 3.6 wasn't WinZIP compatible. Today I corrected this.
23.08.2009	TimeKeeper 3.6 is online. It brings massive improvements of the synchronization speed and various advantages caused by the change to Version 6.7 of the Netbeans Platform. Moreover it now contains a project communication component which enables message transfers with embedded TimeKeeper objects. Also new is the fact, that a MS Windows installer is available. Details you can read in the Release Notes, which can be found in the Online Help (sorry, only in german).
13.07.2009	I had an Interview with Geertjan Wielenga, one of the leads of the Netbeans Developer Community about TimeKeeper and the advantages of using the Netbeans Platform. Please take a look at it and tell me your opinion.
